IMAGINE

I know, it's weird! But I'm weird, so that's OK. And yes, I know my character's called Padme but it was a random name generator thing.

Mira sighed. She really needed to get off of this ship. She was tired of sitting around. Well, she'd found her best friend in the world, Padme Falu. But even Padme's jokes and friendship couldn't cure Mira's need for life, for action. She sighed again, and sipped at her caffa. God, this stuff was strong. That was another thing. She was being trained now as a Jedi, but in a sense she felt… weaker, almost, like she couldn't handle things.

Suddenly, the door to the dormitory burst open. Mira jumped, spilling caffa everywhere. It was Padme.

"Mira," she cried, "I've done something really stupid…"

Mira was shocked. "You… kissed Atton!"

"I know, I know," sniffed Padme, "and the worst thing is that I kind of enjoyed it. I think I love him." She wailed again, and buried her face in Mira's shoulder.

"Nothing else though, right?" asked Mira worriedly.

"What?" Padme seemed genuinely confused. Boy, thought Mira, this girl was cooped up by those Jedi for WAY too long…

"Hey," said Mira, "If it's any consolation, I thought you two always liked each other..."

"Wh-what do you mean?" asked Padme, raising her eyebrows.

"Oh come on!" laughed Mira, "I mean you're always flirting…" she trailed off. She had caught sight of some blonde hair, which meant only one thing.

She raised her eyebrows at Mical from over Padme's shoulder, and Mical ducked quickly out of sight. "You try and get some rest, okay? And don't worry, Kreia won't mind if she knows that you don't want to love Atton."

"But-"started Padme.

"Sleep!" Mira said firmly. And she slipped out of the door.

"So," Mical said quietly, "she's taken, is she?"

"Guess so," said Mira equally quietly. "I'm worried about her."

"Me too," sighed Mical, "I hate that Att-"

"Look, will you too just stop FIGHTING! It's the last thing that she needs," hissed Mira angrily, "I mean, I know you love her, but-"

"What?" Mical interrupted, "I don't love her. Well, of course I do, as a sister, but not… in that way."

"Y-you don't?" asked Mira thoughtfully. Well, all right. Hopefully.

"Not at all," stated Mical matter-of-factly, "No, I love someone else."

"Someone on this ship?" Mira raised her eyebrows.

"Well," Mical blushed uncomfortably, "yes."

"Well Visas will be pleased," Mira smiled.

"No, no wait!" said Mical urgently, "It's not Visas."

"I'm sorry, my deduction skills aren't very good, Mical," smirked Mira.

"It's… it's you," Mical said in barely a whisper.

Padme's POV

Oh, God.

I don't believe what I have just done. I mean, we were just standing there, talking (OK, flirting) when his voice goes all husky and the next thing I know…

I think I love him. I know I love him. But I'll have to talk to him. Straighten things out, I mean. Just to make sure that it doesn't happen again.

"Er… Atton?" I'm standing uncomfortably inside the cockpit. I just hope Mical and Mira don't suddenly reappear. Where are they anyway? "Yeah?" Atton answers, and I can tell he's equally uncomfortable. "Look, I'm sorry," I say, "I wasn't thinking…"

"Yes, you were," sighs Atton, "And that's why we kissed."

"Yeah, I guess you're right," I say, "I mean, well, Atton, you're handsome and funny and-"

"So you do like me." I suddenly realise that Atton is standing in front of me. I start blushing.

"Well, yeah, I mean-"

"Then why don't we start over? " Atton smiles with me. But suddenly my eyes widen. "Kreia…"

"Let her worry. You're not her padawan."

We eventually break apart and we walk into the Main Hold. Mira and Mical are standing there. I could be wrong, but I could have sworn that they just sprang apart. Mira and Mical, together! Imagine.
