I don't even know what this is. But here you go internet.
The smoke from the fires painted the afternoon sky an oddly beautiful mix of orange and purple. It was out of place in comparison the scene that lay below. The open fields of Wall Maria were hewn with the bodies of titans and humans alike, evaporating and rotting as birds circled smugly overhead, almost mocking the small young man looking up at them.
The last survivor of the human force.
The air he breathed now stank of the blood and charred flesh of his comrades and their ashes floated effortlessly on the hot summer wind. Armin closed his burning eyes and let out a yell of impenetrable anger and sorrow. He had failed. He had failed to save them and this is the consequence.
Armin's body shook with rage as he heard a malevolent chuckle several meters away.
"What's the matter little brother?"
"Legout!" Armin hollered, "What have you done? How could you do this?"
He stared at his adversary who looked near identical to him. He never imagined his brother would go this far. He thought he could be reasoned with. He thought he could stop if he just looked at things rationally.
"What do you mean Armin? All I see is glorious disorder!" Legout lifted his arms and spun around, taking in the fruits of his labor. His hair as dark as his soul was disheveled and landed in his eyes as he returned his attention back to Armin.
"You monster," Armin seethed, "Is this what you wanted for humanity? Total destruction?"
Legout put a finger on his chin in mock reflection. "I'm thinking yes, little brother. All I've ever wanted to do was break things, so what's better than the future of our species?" At this, he broke into a maniacal laughter that chilled Armin's soul.
How was he his brother? How could two people look so alike, yet be so different? Armin had done terrible things in his past, true, but it was always for the sake of mankind. Legout did terrible things for the sake of doing them.
"Enough of this!" Armin drew the last of his blades and pointed it at Legout. "I'll kill you for what you have done!"
Legout ceased laughing and a cold expression passed over his face. "You would really do that? To me?"
Armin stayed silent, eyes fixed in determination.
Legout sneered. "So be it." He looked around himself for a weapon. He kicked over the nearby body of the girl Armin thought of as a sister and took her well-worn sword.
"How dare you," Armin said quietly, feeling his blood boil.
The two brothers stared each other down, neither backing down.
"I can never forgive you Legout," Armin said plainly, "You deserve to die for what you have done."
Legout scoffed, "You know, I always thought it would end this way. Let's be done with this, little brother."
They charged each other on the final battlefield of mankind, about to decide its ultimate fate and the victor of the struggle between good and evil.
