Hmm... been a while since I wrote something. Just something that popped out of my head a couple of months back. Read and review please.
Uzumaki Naruto is confused. Haruno Sakura is hugging him, with tears on her eyes. The last time Naruto saw her was the day after he arrived from a long A-rank mission 2 years ago...
"I'm sorry Naruto… I really am. I know I should've told you. I didn't mean what I said back then too. NARUTO! I'M SORRY! PLEASE GIVE ME ANOTHER CHANCE!" she cried out loud. Naruto pushed her away. He didn't want to believe what she was saying. He knew that she would never say something like that.
Naruto was the happiest guy on earth two years ago. Sakura FINALLY confessed her love to him. They weren't a real couple due to some complications, but the feelings they had for each other was very real. When he left for the mission, he promised Sakura that he'd write to her as much as he can. He wrote a letter every week, and sent Gamakichi to give the letters to her. He never got a reply from her…
"I don't want to be with you… it hurts too much. I can't trust you anymore." His mind agreed to what he said, but his heart was saying the exact opposite. He STILL wants to be with her. He WANTS to trust what she said to him…even after what happened.
Tsunade was the one who told him about it when he was doing the mission report. "Did she tell you that she's dating..." He didn't want to believe it, but when he saw her leaving the hospital for the night…his heart shattered. The next day, he confronted her about it. It was a screaming contest that ended with Sakura screaming "I hate you! I don't want to see you again!" to Naruto, who had a slap mark on his cheek, and tears falling down his face…
"Sakura…Chan." He felt weird saying her name. Her name became taboo after what happened. He slowly moved his face towards hers. "Naruto…Thank You." she said as she moved her face towards his. She closed her eyes, wanting to cherish the second chance that she didn't deserve. He too, closed his eyes, waiting for that wonderful feeling that comes when their lips and hearts connect to each other again...but that feeling never came. He opened his eyes. He didn't see a beautiful pink-haired woman in front of him. What he saw was the ceiling. "…Damn it, again?" he said to himself. He slowly got out of his bed…and got ready for another day. After all, he might see her today...
