"Hey, Shizuo, you were a bartender, right? So you made drinks, right? So can you make me a drink?" The underground doctor smiled easily.
Shizuo sighed wearily, giving Shinra a look. Shinra continued. "It's true, right? You can?"
"Yeah. Although I don't think they're that great. I only got some training, not a lot."
"Doesn't matter." Shinra said, shaking his head. "I wanna try one of your drinks. You even have all the materials!" He pointed to the set of materials that Shizuo had gotten from Kasuka as a gift.
Possessed by something out of ordinary, Shizuo made him a simple martini, sweet yet bitter, like the doctor himself. He didn't think about it.
Shinra took a sip, then gasped. Shizuo leaned over the kitchen counter, concerned.
"Oi, Shinra. Are you okay?"
"Huh..? Oh, yeah, yeah." The doctor took a deep breath, then asked another question.
"Shizuo...Were the people at the bar sad about letting you go?"
"Huh? Why?"
"No reason."
Despite his growing irritation at the brune, Shizuo answered.
"Dunno...He said good luck. He was an okay guy, the bar owner."
"Ah, I see..."
Shizuo felt his eye twitch. "Why'd you ask then?"
Shinra laughed. "Nothing, nothing. Ah, well it seems that my sweet Celty will be home soon so I must go! Oh Celty, Celty, Celty..." Shinra waltzed out the door, leaving behind an empty martini glass.
Shizuo picked it up and dropped it gently in the sink. It was...Nice to make one again, after so long.
Shinra stood outside, the rain pouring down.
"Who knew that you had such a talent for something so elegant, Shizuo." Shinra laughed, softly. "I've never had a better drink."
