Hi! I'm here with another story, or poem I guess, about one of my favorite character (and how she dies). Just a warning though, I'm not really good at this poetry stuff, so tips would be appreciated. Character death in here; read at your own risk!
Disclaimer: If I owned PJO, I'd make sure that nobody ever dies aand everybody lives happily ever after. (Sadly, that'll probably never happen.)
She's dying
She can feel it
Her strength sapping away
How everything's going out of focus
She can't see the stars
She doesn't want to die before seeing the stars again
She's offered a cure
She refuses
She can't run away from death
She willingly embraces it with open arms
"Have I . . . served thee well?"
The lady of the Hunt delivers a pleasing answer
She's happy to be one of Artemis's finest attendant
Rest at last
She voices her regret
For the daughter of Zeus
Clearly lamenting the loss of how they could have been sisters
And admits that maybe
Not all men are bad
She tells Percy
That he's right
That he's nothing of a jerk like Hercules was
And she's honored that he carries the sword
That she gave up so many years ago
The stars shine in the sky
They're so bright
So beautiful
Like diamonds splattered across the sky
White specks against a dark canvas
Glitter sprinkled on black paper
"I can see the stars again, my lady."
Stars
Dazzling, shining, wondrous stars
For the first time in millennia
She's at peace
No more monsters
No more running away
No more loss
"Stars"
A final breath exhales from her lips
And she's gone
And, I made myself sad. Seriously though, Zoe was one of my favorite characters, and it killed me inside when she died. And I was kind of mad when she never really was mentioned ever again except for maybe two or three times.
So, I hope you enjoyed. Let me know what you thought in reviews, and I'll see you later. Buh bye!
