I know the story as well as anyone who's serious about it, perhaps better. So does my brother. So it's a shock when we both meet a certain young boy with, as Ginny Weasley once put it "Eyes as green as a fresh pickled toad; hair as dark as a blackboard.", and who happens to have been named Harry Potter.

The woman sighed. Finding a publisher was not easy. Knowing that Bloomsbury would eventually publish Harry Potter helped, but to keep the timeline somewhat similar she had to give it to 7 publishers who would reject it. She put her head in her hands, thinking This isn't fun, but it must be done. The Harry Potter books were done being published by 1974.

Author's Note: The Harry Potter books weren't actually published in 1974. I wrote that for plot purposes. Also, most chapters will be longer than this.
