One shot: Comforting Callie
Set during the first night of Callie's stay with the Fosters before, she and Brandon went to save Jude.
Brandon suddenly woke up in the middle of the night. He needed a drink of water, so he went downstairs. As he was walking down he saw her… Callie. Sitting on the couch and staring into space. She looked lonely and lost. He walked across the room and quietly sat next to her. As Brandon was about to get up, Callie quickly put her hand on his shoulder. She began to talk: "I…. borrowed your phone to call Jude"
"Who's Jude" asked Brandon. "Jude is my younger brother." Callie took a deep breath before continuing again. "He's stuck in the house with our foster father. I need to get him out of there!"Tears started to pool in Callie's eyes. Brandon slowly started wrapping his arms around her, and pulled her into a comforting hug. "How about you go to sleep tonight and tomorrow we can go and save your brother. Don't worry, we will find a way to rescue him." He said into her shoulder. Callie nodded and Brandon let go of her. Callie started to lay back down on the couch, so Brandon went into the kitchen and got a glass of water. As he was about to go back up the stairs, he heard Callie say: "Can you stay with me, tonight? I feel comforted when you're next to me." "Of course." said Brandon. Brandon sat by Callie and started stroking her hair. With Brandon stroking her hair, Callie felt content.
Her eyelids slowly started to droop and pretty soon, she fell asleep. Brandon got up from his chair and walked up the stairs, with a smile on his face. He didn't know yet, but pretty soon will realize that Callie will be more than just a sibling.
