The snow fell outside in the cold winter wind. It a dark, cold Christmas night.

KA-THUMP! James' eyes snapped open. He heard the noise of something heavy on the roof of the tiny house. It was walking toward the worn-out brick chimney. James was giddy with glee. He jumped from his bed and ran to his companion's rooms. Carefully, he opened the door.

"Jessie," he whispered excitedly, "He's here!" Jessie rubbed her eyes and groggily turned her head.

"Who's here?" she asked. James went inside and pulled her from her bed. He heard Meowth get up from his basket.

"What's up Jimbo?" he asked as he stretched.

"Santa's here!" he cried. All three were suddenly gleeful. Santa had never visited them before. They sent there lists every year. But he never responded. The giddy trio snuck down the stairs to the living room, where they could already see soot coming down from the chimney flue. They heard a body crawling down, dragging something heavy. Team Rocket dreamed of all the goodies they'd get. James wanted a whole crate-full of bottle caps. Jessie wanted a large mirror. Meowth had specifically asked for a rainbow trout. But their hope turned to horror when they saw clawed feet appear in the fireplace. Slowly, a coal-black creature emerged from the chimney. He was only three feet tall, but his head was enormous. Two gigantic eyes glowed like hot orange coals in his face. His hair stood out in every direction, and he had a short, broad beaked nose. He snarled at them, exposing sharp, yellowed teeth. A pair of tiny batwings flapped angrily on his back. In one hand he clutched a decaying burlap bag that was covered in soot. In the other, he held a sturdy broom that was made from hickory wood. Although it was terrifying to have such a creature crawl out of one's fireplace, his disproportionate head seemed comical on his much smaller body. He took a step toward them, and started ranting in a foreign language.

"What is it?" whimpered James. He winced as the creature came closer.

"I think it's speaking German," said Meowth. The creature reached into his bag and pulled out a sizable lump of coal. He threw it at the trio, and screamed even louder. They screamed in return and ran into the kitchen. He followed them, throwing coal and waving its broom above his head. Finally, it trapped them in a corner. They flopped to the floor and quivered like jello.

"Don't hurt us!" Jessie shrieked. The creature scowled. It grabbed Meowth and dragged him closer. The Feline screamed hysterically. His teammates wept loudly for there companion. The Creature pulled him closer, lifted up his broom, and began to paddle Meowth's behind without mercy. After about ten minutes, it tossed aside the feline, and grabbed James. It repeated the horrifying punishment. Then it reached out for Jessie. Again, more unholy paddling followed. Team Rocket was silent. The Creature shrieked in German again. It dumped coal all over them, and crawled up the chimney. Team Rocket swore they heard it whistling Jingle Bells as it left.
