For the Speed Drabble at Hogwarts – Katie Bell/Oliver Wood, thunder, "Hurry up, would you?"
*these dorks*
When Katie heard a clap of thunder in the distance, she knew Quidditch practice was going to be a disaster.
They were not going to cancel it, as that would be very stupid, but they were going to fly on brooms in the middle of a thunderstorm. Oliver did always have the best answers to everything, didn't he?
Angelina, Alicia, and Katie walked hurriedly towards the pitch.
"Hurry up, would you?" Katie called out as she took off running. They were going late and Oliver was going to kill them.
"Merlin, Katie, don't you get special treatment or something?" Angelina said between breaths as they reached the pitch.
Katie rolled her eyes, "Not really, I mean, Oliver once told that if I was late he would replace me with the Quaffle. Not that I mind, of course, that Quaffle is simply dashing,"
"Shut up," Alicia snorted, "Oliver's a little cuckoo, you realize?"
"Yeah," said Katie with a big smile. She spotted Oliver at the far end of the pitch with the Beaters and the new Seeker. "the thing is that he's my cuckoo,"
After the practice, Katie and Oliver stayed for a little while in the pitch. They were soaked after practicing in the rain, but it had been completely worth it.
Oliver had his lucky Quaffle in hand as he approached her. "Hullo Katie," he said with a crooked grin.
"'Lo handsome," said Katie. "how you doing?"
"Perfect," Oliver said. Then, he gave Katie the Quaffle. "can you take little Kitty here and keep her for some time? I've got some things to do and I can't take care of her twenty-four seven as always,"
Katie just stood there dumfounded, her eyes wide and a fear raindrops were trailing her cheeks. "You're giving me the Quaffle? Little Kitty? Are you serious?"
"Yeah," he said with a smile, "It's yours now too. We can protect her together, don't you think? I even subtly named her after you,"
Katie sighed and grabbed the Quaffle with care. "You're such a dork," she said. "but like I've said before, you're my dork,"
Under the rain and some stars, as cliché as it sounds, Katie kissed Oliver, and took off to tell her friends all about it.
