Hey y'all! Here's another story with some of my fave Ben 10 Aliens. Chromostone and Shocksquatch belong to Cartoon Network and Man Of Action. I only own Rachel.

Lightning Light

Chromostone was prepping for another mission and couldn't bring Rachel with him. He was wondering who could watch over her when Shocksquatch came in.

"Another mission, Chromostone?" he asked him.

"Yes, Shocksquatch, but I can't bring Rachel with me this time," said Chromostone.

"I'll watch her for you," the lightning-wielding behemoth offered.

Chromostone looked at him gratefully. "Thank you, old friend," he said as he then got ready to go. Rachel came to see him going.

Chromostone saw his charge come up and knelt to her level. "Little one, I have to go on a mission. I'll be back in a few days," he told the teenage girl.

Rachel looked up at him. "I can't come with you?" she asked, knowing that if she couldn't come, then it was a dangerous mission.

"No, not this time," Chromostone said gently. "Shocksquatch has agreed to watch you while I'm gone. Be good and listen to him."

"Yes, Chromo," she said, giving him a hug. "Stay safe."

"I will," he said reassuringly, returning her hug.

A few hours later, Shocksquatch and Rachel were doing fun things and watching a movie when she fell asleep. Chuckling, the large alien carried her up to her bed and tucked her in. "Pleasant dreams, kiddo," he said before going off to sleep himself.

A few hours later, Rachel bolted upright from a nightmare and began to cry. She had just dreamed that everyone was dead except her. She now got out of bed to seek out one of the others.

Shocksquatch woke up upon hearing his door open and opened his eyes sleepily. "Shocks?" he heard a voice ask and his eyes widened in surprise.

"Kiddo?" he said, turning on his light to see her standing there, tears running down her face. "What happened? Did you have a bad dream?"

She nodded and he sat up and held his arms out, to which she fell into his hug. "Shh, it's okay, Rach. It was only a dream. I'm here now," he said soothingly.

She calmed down after a while. "Shocks, I'm scared," she admitted.

"Do you want to stay with me for tonight?" he asked and she nodded. "Alright," he said and then used his lightning powers to make his body glow softly, like a nightlight. "There," he said. "Now if you wake up again, it won't be so dark."

Rachel smiled. "Thanks, Shocks," she said, snuggling into his soft fur and falling asleep. Shocksquatch fell back asleep not long after.

A few days later, Chromostone came back and Rachel was the first to greet him. "Chromo!" she said excitedly, hugging him.

He chuckled. "Hello, little one," he said warmly, returning her hug. "Were you good?" he asked, although he knew the answer.

"She was fine," said Shocksquatch as he came up to them. "Welcome home, old friend."

"Thank you, Shocksquatch. It feels good to be home again."

Rachel couldn't agree more as she spent the rest of the day with Chromostone and Shocksquatch, happy to have such a great family.
