A/N: Just a bit of fluff with our little Kaya-San and Usopp! I love them as a couple, I think they are so sweet together!!! Some people think Kaya is a whiney princess but she isn't, at least I don't think so, in the manga she was fairly brave in the end…and so was Usopp…why oh why can't Oda Eichero-Sensei have the two star-crossed lovers be together foreverrrrr!?
Disclaimer: I do not own One Piece, if I did, I would be far richer and Kaya and Usopp would be together, relaxing in loving tenderness upon the white sand of the bahamas. :)
He stroked her silky strawberry-blonde hair, and she let out a contented sigh, gingerly placing warm, gentle fingers on his brown cheek…
A complete place of ectasy and yet a feeling of resignation was looming over them, and the couple hadn't the foggiest notion as to why a sky's hue should ruin their day.
It should have been a ravishing, clear, lovely blue, but instead, a product of the dear little rain storm which had ravaged the innocent town, tearing down thatched straw roofs and barring the small, disappointed children from play out in the lush green grass of spring, the sky was gray.
Yes, gray…now, gray isn't an exactly favorable color for a loving, afternoon reverie with your favorite person, and this promptly angered the young woman quite a bit. She didn't want it to rain and neither did Usopp…or so she supposed.
The gray sky made Kaya feel gloomy and full of pathos, just as the days she had lingered as an invalid, ruled by Klahadore…she didn't want to think about that. In fact, she hadn't for a while…
She had only thought of Usopp, and Usopp of she.
The curly-haired, tan young man released Kaya from his arms and stood up, pointing to the sky as sprinkles of water flew from portly, blackened clouds.
"Look Kaya! It's raining!" he said happily.
She twitched an eyebrow and then threw her arms around him, "I don't like the rain…."
Usopp gave her a warm smile, and a lingering kiss, "No, I don't either…but…"
Kaya returned his kiss with her chaste one and nudged closer to her beloved pirate, "Why are we out here…?"
A silence followed, and he laughed, "Because I love the sky I see when I'm with you, Kaya."
Her dress blew in the light wind, and her misty blue eyes grew filled to ther brim with love, and gazed into Usopp's lively black ones…
Almost whispering, she said, "I love you, Usopp."
"I love you too…."
And as the two just stood, watching the magnificent sky billow out across the grand panorama that magnified the dimness of the sunset's glow, Kaya felt her heart give a loud beat, and she kissed him passionately.
"I love the sky I see with him."
