When Batman got a call from Gordon, he thought that the recently escaped Joker was on the move again. He thought that it would one of those nights.
When he saw the tired look in his eyes, he got a feeling it would be bad.
he had no idea how right that guess was.
He learned that Joker was found (and felt great surprise), and shocked, as though someone punched him in the stomach, without his armor-upon learning that Joker was dead.
from what they gathered, a new villain arrived, a girl whose theme was bugs, who had a black widow bite the opposing villain, and took over his territory and disbanded his people. There was nothing more about her.
For the next week he found that some of the hot points for criminals were empty, sometimes with evidence of struggle. He later learned that the new player has been robbing the criminals. Hitting the gangs hard, scaring away drug dealers and taking their money. But still he didnt encounter her.
When he tracked Mr. Freeze to a warehouse, he was surprised to find the object of his previous search within, and it took all his willpower not to rush in and punish that, that... woman for killing in his city! EVEN KILLING the Joker.
Pushing away the instint to launch a Battarang at her, he took a few deep breathes and concentrated on the listening bug he dropped in Freeze beforehand.
