Marry Me Sonny?
At the time it just seemed like some silly little ring with no commitment at all. But when she walked into the studio today wearing it she didn't realize that he, Chad Dylan Cooper, would make such a big deal about it with his "fiancé."
Flashback
One day in preschool Alison Munroe sat alone crying behind the willow tree because some boys had made fun of her and called her ugly. They had also said that no one would want to marry her.
"Why are you crying," she looked around. The voice had come from a blonde boy around her age.
"Because I'm ugly and dumb and no one wants to marry me," the girl said crying again.
The boy came to hug her and he asked, "What's your name?"
"Alison Munroe. What's yours," Alison asked him.
"My name is Chad Dylan Cooper," Chad said. Alison giggled.
"That's a funny name but it suits you," she said.
"Well Alison doesn't suit you," Chad said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Why," Alison asked politely.
"Because you smile reminds me of something bright like the……….SUN. Yes your new name shall be Sonny," Chad exclaimed.
"Ok that's a pretty name for an ugly girl," tears again and Chad hated to see a girl cry.
"Your really pretty Sonny. Whoever said you weren't is crazy," Chad said.
"But tears doesn't mean tears someone will tears will marry new tears me," Sonny exclaimed.
"Sonny Munroe," Chad said taking a deep breath and getting on one knee.
"Yes Chad," she asked confused by his actions.
He took a ring out of his pocket and said, "Will you marry me?"
"Yes," Sonny replied.
"Yes what," Chad asked.
"Yes I will marry you Chad Dylan Cooper," Sonny said blushing.
"Now you have to kiss me," Chad said. "Mommy kissed daddy when he asked her to marry him."
"Ok Chad," Sonny kissed him on the cheek.
"No Sonny on the lips," Chad complained.
"Ok Chad," Sonny said blushing again. She kissed him innocently on the lips. (AN: They're like three or four.)
"Now Sonny you take this and promise me that someday you will marry me," Chad said putting the ring on her finger.
"Yes Chad I promise," Sonny said.
"Chad honey it's time to go home," yelled Mrs. Cooper.
"See you tomorrow Sonny," he said and kissed her on the cheek.
"Bye Chad," Sonny called after him.
With Chad
"Looks like you made a new friend Chad," his mom said.
"Yes mom I guess I did," he replied.
With Sonny
"Alison it's time to go home honey," Mrs. Munroe said.
"Mommy can you call me Sonny," Alison asked.
End Flashback
Chad decided to go pay Sonny a visit because of said ring.
"Knock knock Sonny," Chad said.
"What do you want Chad," Sonny said.
"Oh so a guy can't come and visit his fiancé anymore," Chad asked shocked. "What is America coming to?"
"We aren't engaged," Sonny said blushing.
"Really Sonny really," Chad said. "Because I seem to remember and if you look at the bottom of the ring it has my initials CDC. So that's makes you my bride to be."
She turned the ring around and he was right. Sonny then said, "So what Chad. Ok we're engaged but it was never official when you asked me."
"Well that why I came to ask you again," Chad stated. "Sonny Munroe will you make me the happiest guy ever and marry me?"
"Yes Chad of course I will," Sonny exclaimed.
"Sonny don't you remember what you're suppose to do after," Chad never finished that sentence because Sonny had remembered. She kissed him. The difference between that kiss and the kiss when they were four was that this one had passion and that Chad kissed back after two seconds.
It would have been perfect if Tawni hadn't interrupted by saying, "Sonny have you seen my…..Why are you kissing Chad Dylan Cooper."
They broke away smiled at each other and Chad said, "See you later Alison." and exited. It would have been perfect if Tawni hadn't ruined the moment again and asked,
"Who's Alison?"
