Someone Else's Star

Alone again tonight without someone to love.
The stars are shining bright so one more wish goes up.
Oh, I wish I may and I wish with all my might.
For the love I'm dreaming of and missing in my life.

Zack Mooneyham, layed on a pool chair in his backyard. The band was all over at his house for one of their famous band sleepovers. Everyone else was asleep, because it was really late; well I guess you could say early since it was 4 am. Zack felt so lonely lately. He didn't have a girlfriend and he really wanted someone to care for. He looked up at the sky and looked at all the stars. They were shining so bright. He thought it was kind of childish but he looked at the first star he saw and said "oh I wish I may, and I wish with all my might. For the love I'm dreaming of, and missing in my life." And then he layed back down and stared into nowhere, and thought."

You'd think that I could find a true love of my own.
It happens all the time to people that I know.
Their wishes all come true so I've got to believe.
There's still someone out there who is meant for only me.

Zack just layed there and thought of love. He desperately wanted someone to love. A lot of people he knew were dating. Freddy and Katie had been dating for a year now. He wanted what they had. They loved and trusted eachother. Alicia and Leonard were together. Everyone at school thought they were so cute together. Eleni and Gordan were also dating. Everyone was so happy and in love. Zack remembered one night at Freddy's house when Freddy was so excited because Katie had said yes to him to go on a date. He wanted so bad to be with her. He prayed before he went and asked her! It seemed to Zack no matter how much he prayed or wished, he didn't find love. Zack thought that he just had to believe that there was someone out there meant for him, and only him.

I sit here in the dark and stare up at the sky,
But I can't give my heart one good reason why.
Everywhere I look it's lovers that I see.
It seems like everyone's in love, everyone but me.

Zack looked at the sky again. Then a big noise came but it was just an animal. Katie woke up from it and screamed but Freddy comforted her. She layed her head down on his chest and they drifted back to sleep.Zack looked around he saw Katie and Freddy and Alicia and Leonard and Eleni and Gordan laying together sleeping. Zack wished he had someone to lay with and keep warm. Everyone was together. Everyone but him.

I guess I must be wishing on someone else's star.
It seems like someone else keeps gettin what I'm wishing for.
Why can't I be as lucky as those other people are?
I guess I must be wishing, on someone else's star.

Zack layed down and tried to sleep but he couldn't. It just wasn't fair. Zack didn't think he was ugly, but girls weren't exactly jumping his bones. It seemed like sometimes guys that were assholes got girlfriends and he didn't know why. Guys that did nothing for themselves or for the girls would get them. Zack thought that if girls just got to know him they would be kicking themselves for dating some of this assholes. Why did people who treated women badly get girlfriends? He didn't understand. He just wished he was as lucky as Freddy and Katie. Freddy treated Katie amazingly. He would never hurt her. Zack would have to just keep waiting, one day he would get his girl, and he would treat her like the world. And with that he layed down and fell asleep and dreamed of his star.
