The Tape Recorder
These characters don't belong to me.
Kagome's family was going on vacation, so she couldn't go to the fuedal era for a while. Before she left, Kagome gave Shippo something.
"This is a tape recorder," she explained, showing it to him. "You can talk into it, and then play it back.'
"But why do I need it?" asked Shippo.
"I'll show you," said Kagome, then held the recorder to her mouth, and said one word."Sit!"
"I see!" exclaimed the kitsune.
"Use this to keep Inuyasha out of trouble while I'm gone."
After a quick goodbye to everyone else, Kagome jumped through the well and went on vacation.
That night, Inuyasha, Shippo, Sango, and Miroku were eating dinner with Kaede. Miroku was sitting next to Sango, and only one of his hands was on the table. Sango slapped him, and he decided to keep his hands to himself for at least five minutes. Naturally, he didn't succeed.
"Hey, Inuyasha," said Shippo."I bet I can make you get food all over your face!"
"No way!" said Inuyasha, bopping Shippo on the head.
"Ye shouldn't hit him like that!" Kaede reprimanded him.
"I agree with Inuyasha," said Miroku. "Shippo probably wouldn't be able to do that."
"I think you can, Shippo, and stop doing that, Miroku!" Sango exclaimed, sitting on Miroku's hand, which had found its usual spot on her rear end. "In fact, I'll make you a bet. If Shippo succeeds, you have to keep your hands off my butt for a month!"
"Fine!" said Miroku with a sly smile. "But if he fails, you have to kiss me."
"Ye are making too big a deal out of this," scolded Kaede feebly, but they could tell she was interested.
"This is a tape recorder," said Shippo, pulling Kagome's gift out of his pocket. "You can talk into it, and then play the message back."
Inuyasha thought he understood, and started pushing his food away, but Shippo was too fast for him. He pushed the button and Kagome's voice said, "Sit!"
Everybody laughed except Miroku and Inuyasha.
"How long do you think it'll take before we have to tie Miroku's hands behind his back?" asked Sango. Even Inuyasha laughed at that.
I finally posted something. This was the first fanfic I ever wrote. I know you're sick of seeing this, but R+R!
