He radiated love. Every brief glance, every small, secret smile, every accidental brush of shoulders screamed "I love you" louder than if he had hollered into a megaphone on the top of his lungs, which would have been an extraordinary sight in itself. It was in his voice every time he spoke to him, a sweet tenderness lingering even in seemingly harsh words. It was in his glance every time he looked at him, unhidden affection showing through his usually blank eyes.

It was an astounding sight, one that Sakura thought that she would never see. As she observed Naruto and Sasuke from behind, with the sun setting far ahead in the distance, she marveled at how both of emitted the aura of "happy couple," even though they were simply walking next to each other. It was their body language, she supposed. It was the way they angled toward each other ever so slightly, so that they would be receptive to each others smallest movements. They were both completely relaxed, exuding complete trust.

Sakura couldn't imagine what would have happened if things didn't turn out this way. If Sasuke had not returned at the last moment, if they had both killed each other. All of it was over now. The war, Akatsuki, Uchiha Madara, Orochimaru and his followers. It was over. There was finally peace among all of the ninja villages. It was a golden time. Even after the peace, it had been difficult for Sasuke to adjust to a normal life. Or as normal as a ninja's life could get. It had been a few years until he had the courage to grab the happiness that was right in front of him.

Sakura smiled as she watched them bump shoulders and argue over insignificant things. She had gotten over both of them quite a while ago, and was now perfecting a jutsu that would successfully create an artificial womb, to fulfill Sasuke's dream. Naruto teased Sasuke with a kiss to the cheek, and Sasuke, with slightly pink cheeks, punched him in the face, making him complain of the pain and turn around, asking Sakura to heal him in a loud voice. Sakura simply pinched his cheek and told him that Ichiraku's was going to close if they took so long. Naruto hurried ahead, grabbing onto Sasuke's hand and Sakura's wrist and dragging them along. Sasuke and Sakura rolled their eyes and smiled at each other.

Even if there were difficult times to come, right now, all was well. And to them, that was all that mattered.
