Dislcaimer: I don't own any Zoey 101 or any of the characters. This takes place after Season 1, episode "The Play". Warning! Spoiler alert.

"Knock knock." Zoey said as she rounded the corner and entered into the dorm room of Chase, Michael and Logan. She found Chase alone in the room, lying in his bed with his laptop.

"Hey Zo." Chase quickly shut the laptop and put it aside. Zoey dropped her bag and dragged a chair beside Chase's bunk.

"So you caught Dustin's cold, huh?" Zoey asked sympathetically.

"Uh, yeah."

"That's too bad. Right before your play opened, too."

"I know. I managed to see the ending…before the nurse tackled me." Chase smiled at Zoey, who laughed and then became serious.

"That's actually why I came by. I wanted to say I'm sorry for changing the ending. I just couldn't believe how selfish Logan was being and I couldn't stand to kiss him and--"

"Zoey." Chase cut in. "It's okay. I liked your ending better."

"What? Why?" Zoey asked. "I thought you liked the ending before."

"Actually, I tried to change the ending but Mr. Fletcher wouldn't let me."

Zoey leaned back. "Well, that's a relief. I was afraid you'd be mad at me."

"I could never be mad at you." Chase said, smiling at Zoey. Zoey smiled back.

"Why did you want to change it? I'm not sure why you would want to change it…you loved the ending earlier."

Zoey noticed that Chase blushed a little bit as he looked down and then back to her.

"Well, the truth is, that, uh, I didn't want you kissing Logan." Chase said quietly and started playing with a corner of his bedspread and then yawned.

"Well, I'm glad it all worked out for you." Zoey said with a smile. "You look tired so I'm gonna go."

"Okay. Thanks for coming by, Zoey." Chase said as he slid down in his bed and pulled the quilt up.

"No problem Chase." Zoey said getting her bag. "Feel better soon."

"Thanks."

Zoey left the room but paused in the door-way. She had been thinking about what Chase had said about her kissing Logan. She knew that Chase was going to play the lifeguard and that he would've kissed Zoey until Logan got the part. She turned around to question Chase about her thoughts.

"Chase?" She began but stopped when she saw Chase already asleep.

"Good-night, Chase." She said with a smile and quietly left the dorm room.
