"Help booth please"
Special Agent Seeley Booth froze when he got that text, sure it could mean a lot of things, like she needed help with a case but Booth had a bad feeling about it not just because there wasn't a case at this moment in time but,
Bones has been down a lot this week, after the tragic death of her brother Russ and then on top of that she had had a huge argument with Cam resulting in her being suspended from work for a week pending investigation,
Booth knew that wasn't like her, that something was up, but as much as he tried Bones just walked away, he tried ringing she never answered, he went to her apartment, and all he got was nothing,
Hell he even went as far to force entry into her place, and all he got was a slap to the face and a kick in the balls, literally.
He raced to his car fearing the worst, he was at his apartment so it was only a 15 minute drive to her place but that still wasn't good enough, "screw it" thought Booth as he switched on his sirens,and got to hers in a record time of 5 minutes.
He ran from his car not realising he was still in regulation FBI suit, well minus a tie, to the stairs and clambered up them taking two at a time,
When he got to Bones' apartment he stopped and took a deep breath, this was the first time he thought about what he might open the door to, and he was scared, not for himself, but for Bones.
