So I wrote this in study hall today… I was really bored and couldn't get Klaine off my mind, and I couldn't focus on math without my iPod.
Operation: Mistletoe
Until Wes and David's plan mistletoe never hug anywhere in the halls of Dalton Academy, but until there were Kurt and Blaine attending Dalton there was no reason for it.
That is where 'Operation: Get Kurt and Blaine To Stop Dancing Around (literally) and Just Kiss already!' AKA 'Operation: Mistletoe' came in effect. Wes and David were going to get these boys to kiss. So right before the final Warbler practice of the year they hung some mistletoe right next to the choir closet.
"Blaine! Wait up!" David called out as Blaine began to rush out after the last Warbler practice for 2010, and was headed to pack his bags for his King Isle gig/mandatory family get together.
"What is it David?" Blaine casually checked the time on his pocket watch as he spoke.
"Uh, you need to help me get something out of the choir closet." David's lie was rehearsed enough that Blaine believed him and followed David down to the choir closet.
Kurt was already chatting and walking with We on their long route back to Kurt's room, and the path they were taking just happened to pass by the choir closet.
"Nothing can beat the original cast of RENT!"
"No, the last Broadway cast was the best."
"Oh, please, Wes, nothing can top the original. Not even the movie with six out of eight of the OBC."
And then they stopped when they ran into Blaine and David. Just in front of the closet.
"Oh! Uh, I just remembered David and I have somewhere we need to be. Bye, Kurt! Happy holidays!"
"Oh, and look guys, you're under the mistletoe!" With that Wes and David bolted around the corner – where they could still see, giggling like school girls.
"So…" Blaine rubbed the back of his head trying to act casual.
"Well, it is tradition," Kurt said coyly.
"But, you know we really don't have to,"
"So you don't want to kiss me?"
"No, I do – I mean, I do not want you to have just another meaningless kiss."
"Well, I'm not opposed, you obviously want to, so why not?"
Kurt was trying hard not to be the one to make the first move here. He had way too much bad luck being the pursuer. Blaine was going to presume him.
Then, it happened. In less than a second, Blaine's hand softly and tenderly grabbed Kurt's face, and the other hand gently on Kurt's waist. Blaine's lips slowly touched Kurt's and as soon as Kurt could react he was kissing Blaine back, just hoping that he was doing this right. The kiss ended far too soon for Blaine's tastes (Kurt was always one to tease), but Kurt's shy, sweet smile made up for the shortness of their first kiss.
Before either Kurt or Blaine could say a word they heard Wes and David shout in unison "OPERATION: MISTLETOE, SUCCESS!"
