Telephone

Stayne had left the mansion with out telling Iraceabeth and he knew he'd never hear the end of it when he returned but he needed some space. Being around the queen as much as he was would certainly make a man mad, how he managed to remain sane was beyond his comprehension .

He walked aimlessly down the street happy to be alone for once when suddenly the most annoying tune started playing out of no where. He cell phone. He dug into his pocket and fished out the stupid thing flipped it open and pressed it to his ear.

"hello." he sighed. Only one person would be calling him, Iraceabeth.

"STAYNE!! WHERE ARE YOU!" she hissed.

Just then he got a brilliant idea he'd pretend that he had bad reception and hang up. The queen was so dense she'd never know the truth.

"I'm sorry my queen but I cant hear you. I've got no serv…." he flicked the phone shut and shoved it back into his pocket. He looked around trying to find something that seemed entertaining….bingo! There was a club across the street.

He waltzed across the street and walked right in. it was fairly dark and he needed a few seconds for his eyes to adjust and then the same annoying tune began playing.

"damn it!" he cussed under his breath.

He flipped it open.

"Iraceabeth I'm really quite busy."

"STAYNE YOU G…." he flicked it shut before she could finish her comment then flicked it back open.

"now now do I turn this god forsaken thing off?" he asked his self as he fumbled with the buttons. The screen went blank and he grinned. No more annoying Iraceabeth tonight now he could thoroughly enjoy his free time.

Iraceabeth was furious. Stayne never left her certainly not with out her knowing where he was of what he was doing. He was the only person she could rely on and he had just up and left her. She picked up the phone and called again. It rang and rang. But no answer. Her face turned red and a scowl was etched on her face.

" GUARDS! " she snapped.

A handful of the cards flooded into the room awaiting their queens command.

"GO FIND STAYNE!"

The cards left the room and even the mansion but they where in no hurry to follow the queens orders. They all feared Stayne far more than her.

Hours passed, the club closed Stayne stumbled out drunk out of his mind.

He wakes up and glances around. He's back in the mansion. Ihow the hell did I manage to get back here I could barely walk./I he thought.

"STAYNE!" Iraceabeth screeched.

Stayne clamped his hands over his ears and slammed his eye shut. The queen had always been unbearably loud at times but Stayne had a hangover and it was torturous. He groaned pulled on his boots and saw his cell phone on the table be side him, he instinctively picked it up and flicked it on. 56 missed calls. Oh boy the queen would certainly have it in for him how.

He gritted his teeth. Just another situation he'd have to lie his way out of.
