Prologue
I've known Jamie forever. Well, actually since kindergarten. Never have I seen her say an unkind word to anyone, not even me. This was odd given the fact that all we did was make fun of her. I mean, I didn't make fun of her, but I didn't exaclty defend her when my friends did.
It took a while for me to realize that Jamie wasn't the person she appeared to be, that she was much more. When I did learn this, I was amazed. Here is our story, from the day I first realized my love for her, up until the very end.
Chapter 1 The Play
Now, this play wasn't exactly my idea of fun, but it was something that I had to do. I was nervous as hell. I imagined my "friends" sitting there ready to point and laugh at me. I didn't want to make a fool of myself in front of the whole town, or in front of Jamie.
I still felt bad about what I had done to her in front of the lockers. I wanted to prove myself to her, show her that I could be a good person. I actually valued her opinion, and I knew that right then she didn't have a very good one of me. That's why earlier I had decided to surprise her with something that I had gotten her.
