Edward Cullen's biography
Edward Anthony Masen was born to Elizabeth and Edward Masen on June 20, 1901. While suffering severely of the Spanish Influenza of 1918 in Chicago at age 17, a mysterious young doctor, Carlisle Cullen, transformed him into a vampire to save him. Both of Edward's parents had succumbed to the Spanish Influenza pandemic prior to his "rebirth". He currently resides in Forks, Washington with his adoptive vampire family: parents Esme and Carlisle, and siblings Alice Cullen, Emmett Cullen, Rosalie Hale and Jasper Hale. Against his better judgment, Edward fell deeply in love with Bella Swan, a human. Initially, it was the unique, aroma of her blood that hungrily ensnared his attention. In consequence, the dormant beast residing within him awakened . . . nearly destroying him, and ultimately all that he and his family had worked so desperately to conceal. Edward's fascination for the "danger-magnet," Bella, abruptly evolves into an indefinable passionate love and adoration. However, Bella's abnormal attraction for danger heavily weighs upon Edward's conscience. He finds himself saving her from being hit by Tyler Crowley's car in the school parking lot and then again in Port Angles from four strange men. After the Port Angles incident he and Bella are forever inseparable. Edward finds himself unable to stay away and is soon showing Bella his vampire "powers" and introducing her to his family. There love is forbidden but everything works out (with many blocks on the way I must add) and Edward proposes. Bella says yes, and they go to tell Charlie. What will happen next? On August 2nd, 2008, we will know.
