It was Saturday morning. Schmidt and Winston were both out of the house. It was just Nick and Jess. Jess usually wakes up at 8:00 AM every morning. This day Jess woke up around 7:30 AM to the sound of music?
"And who would have thought

Would have anything to do
With a smelly dude like me
I find it hard to believe"
It wasn't CD player music. It sounded like someone was singing in their apartment. She wondered who it could be Winston, Schmidt, or Nick. Then, she realized Nick was the only one here. A massive grin came over her. She thought about how awesome he was at singing!

on your trampoline that night

She was so happy that she got out of bed and decided to make him breakfast. She was going to make pancakes with scrambled eggs with ketchup, his favorite.

While making breakfast she realized that she loved this song. It reminded her of them.

Then, the singing stopped. A few minutes later she saw Nick come out in some sweat pants and a t-shirt.
"Jess, what's all this?"
"I thought because it was just us, I would make you breakfast."
"Thanks."
She wasn't going to tell him how his singing made her so happy; that she made him breakfast.
Nick got up to grab his plate then, to go sit on the couch but, when he got up there shoulders bumped and, they both grinned.
The song Nick was singing was now her new favorite song.
