Hey! Yesterday, I wrote this while at region band tryouts. It was fun, playing around with the other 7 Jr. High band members who wanted to go. I even met this weird guy...I call him Depressed Guy, because he told us that he was depressed when he wasn't happy. 0_0 Yeah, and then, on the way back, our band director told us this joke: if T.W.A spells Tway, and T.W.I spells Twiy, what does T.W.O spell? bThen, my friend woke up and told us that she had dreamed about her friend telling her that exact same joke. We laughed so hard. I didn't make the band, though :( Oh well, there's still CenTex! I'm gonna rock my sax at that. This is a really long author's note..so.
Will trudged through the forest, every inch of his body aching. Not daring to stop and rest, Will continued down the overgrown path.
He could feel a prescence behind him. He didn't know how he knew this, but the prescence felt...dangerous. Like it could kill him in less than a second.
Will could see the edge of the forest, and broke into a run out of sheer joy. He burst into the light. nearly blinding himself with the bright contrast. He caught his breath, and turned back towards the woods, scanning them for even a glimpse of a pursuer.
But no one was there.
Feeling unnerved, he began to make his way back to the ward. He had barely taken two steps when he felt the prescence again. He glance over his shoulder, but didn't see a soul on the empty road behind him.
Trying not to give in to the panic risig in his throat, he broke into a slow run.
He felt the prescence the whole time, keeping a steady pace with Will. Will tried to speed up, but he was too tired.
Finally, the ward was in sight. Risking one last glance behind him, Will thought he saw a dark figure, but it disappeared before Will could really focus on it. Shrugging, Will went into the ward, hoping that the prescence wouldn't follow him.
Halt smiled in satisfaction from behind a rock. Will would be a fine apprentice.
Now, don't reveiw and tell me that this wouldn't decide whether or not Will was Halt's apprentice. This is NOT the first time that Halt has watched Will. Keep that in mind.
