The Paper Race

I don't own Pokémon because my mom told me not to steal from other people (sadface).

Ash and Gary are at the Lab alone. They usually hang out at each other's place when they are both in Pallet, like when they were kids. They are older now, not rivals anymore, but competitive friends.

If they were 8, they'll probably start going crazy around the house, but now they'll just spend the time talking, watching TV or something similar

Today Gary was looking at his research papers, and he didn't want Ash entertaining him.

"Gary! Can't I turn on the TV? I'm bored!" Ash finally said.

"Ash, this is important, you know? Why don't you go and do something quietly!"

Ash rolled his eyes, 'quiet' wasn't a word that suited him well. "Like what?"

Gary grinned "I bet that you can't finish a book before I'm done with my research, Ashy-Boy."

Ash frowned at the sound of his nickname "I'm on."

Gary smirked. What would be the best torture for his friend than read a book… "I get to choose the book" He said looking around the house, hoping that his sister had the book he was searching for. Success.

"Here." He handled the book to the raven-head, smirking widely. There was a tie at the front. It looked like a fashion book, since it said something about shades and stuff. "Don't cheat"

Gary continued his research, taking his time. He wanted to see his friend's reaction He looked at him every once in a while. He seemed confused (the book wasn't about fashion or clothes) but he was enjoying, until his face turned totally red. Gary knew why.

"Something wrong, Ashy-Boy?" Heh, he'll spend the rest of his life researching if it means that he'll see that face forever.

Ash shocked his face and continued his reading. Gary was surprised; he didn't know that the oblivious kid liked reading (that kind of books).

Ash changed position, and he was now lying on his stomach, his face red, discretely looking back at Gary.

'What is he hiding?' the green eyed male though, I don't need to say that he was grinning evilly. He finished his research. "Hey, I won!" there were just some pages left for Ash.

"Shhhhhh!" Ash said, not noticing his lost or when Gary sat next to him.

"Enjoying your book?" he said leaning closer to him, wanting to see his reaction, being in the state he was.

Ash squirmed a little bit, and finished the book. "Why did you make me read this book?!"

"You didn't say anything when I gave it to you!"

"I thought it would be some boring book about clothes!" Ash was still lying on his stomach, burying his face on the pillows.

"You seemed to like it" he said turning the boy around, 'he indeed liked it'.

They were so close… Ash frowned. "I lost."

Gary leaned closer to Ash's face. "Then give me my prize." He said seductively.

"No." Ash frowned. He'll never let Gary win. He didn't know exactly what Gary meant, anyway.

The brunette smirked and connected their faces.

"I want revenge." Ash said stubbornly.

"Whenever you want" Gary laughed.

The End!

Today a girl from my class brought a similar book to the one described there (but not the exactly one) and they now think they are great badass. Anyway, they gave me this idea.
