I find the map and draw a straight line over rivers, farms, and state lines

The distance from A to where you'd B

She traced her fingers across the map to where she knew he was.

Rubbing her finger in the spot she took a tack and pushed into the map.

Three more weeks she thought only 3 more weeks till he was back home and she was in his warm arms.

I touch the place where I'd find your face

He stared at the map he pulled up on his phone and brought up the spot where she was at.

They where miles apart from each other and he couldn't wait to see her again.

All the noises he hear right now backstage where drowned out as he stared at their home town 2 more weeks he thought.

Their words mostly noises Ghosts with just voices

Two more tacks she thought as she pushed another one in her map.

He was on the other side of the country right now.

She lay back down on her bed waiting for one more week to be up.

And miles from where you are I lay down on the cold ground

One more day until he would see her again he didn't know how he lasted so long.

I pray that something picks me up and sets me down in your warm heart

Three more hours and his plane would land she hadn't seen him for months and now he would be home.

We'd share each other like an island until exhausted close our eyelids

Two minutes was all it took for him to spot her waiting for him at the airport.

And dreaming pick up from the last place we left off

Thirty seconds was how long it took for her to run into his arms.

Your soft skin is weeping a joy you can't keep in

"I've missed u" she said holding him tightly.

And miles from where you are

"Yeah I've missed you too there was too many miles in-between us." He told her.

I lay down on the cold ground

"Yeah but we are together again Nick and that's all that matters" she hugged him tighter afraid to let go

I pray that something picks me up

"And I'm never letting you go again Macy" Nick said as he kissed her.

And sets me down in your warm arms
