For Zoe & Laura, both who would have loved a scene like this on the show too. (I thought having a Sharon scene with either J or L would be an obvious scene to have when they went public. She's sorta been there no? IDK) This is short and kind of rubbish though. Just saying. haha.
Seeing him smile at his phone for possibly the 5th time in the last 10 minutes, Sharon sighed with a smile. Young love, the best kind. Before the World and heartbreak tainted you.
"You love her." It wasn't a question, it was a statement. He seemed surprised that she spoke either way.
He shrugged, for a attractive cocky lad, he could be quite self-conscious she thought. Self-conscious about what though she wondered. Her love for him? No surely that couldn't be it. Sharon hasn't had too much to do with Lauren, her soon-to-be niece, but the little dealings she has had, the love she has for him shows. Actually she only ever seems genuinely happy with he's around, if Sharon was honest. She's seen the young girl often do a early morning 'walk of shame' from his house to hers, having spent the night. And from conversations with Tanya, she knows the girl's as addicted to her phone to he is. Looks like even when they aren't together, they aren't far from each other's thoughts.
"Yeah. I guess." Sharon let out a laugh. "You guess?" Maybe self-conscious about his love for her? After seeing his relationship with his father and sister, especially his relationship, that wouldn't surprise her.
"Yeah. Well I mean no." He seemed confused. She'd obviously put him on the spot, too lost in his own thoughts when she'd asked. "Yeah I do" he said more confidently.
"Do what?" She raised an eyebrow, smirking when he rolled his eyes in response.
"Love her. I do." He shrugged. "Why?"
"No reason." She shrugged, him looking up from the cases he was moving in and out from the store room at her. "Well you must love her to cause you to smile at your phone." He smiled, and looked pretty bashful. A lot younger, the love he has having cracked that outer layer, and with that, Sharon's heart ached. For what she once had.
It's not the first time Walford's seen a attractive young girl, with family issues but a big heart fall head over heels for an attractive, over-confident guy, with his own issues to crack, but once you did, you were in. She so wished for them, a happy ending. They've both fallen, and fallen fast.
"Yeah I guess." He was the one to shrug this time. "She's just Lauren, ain't she" Oh, she laughed at this. "What?" he said defensively. Ready to defend his girlfriend, if she pushed.
"Nothing, nothing." She chuckled. "Don't give much away do ya?" But then, she thought. He didn't really need to speak about Lauren, and his relationship. She was just curious. But then actions always speak louder than words, and boy do his speak loud. She's not sure how they even managed to have a secret relationship. Their eyes follow the other around the room, the secret glances they share, daring the other to look away first. The smirk he shoots her every time he clocks her looking in his direction, then his grin when she turns away in response. The way he acts like a bad boy, but is so gentle with her at times, tucking her hair behind her ear, always looking out for her. He'd do anything for her, and knowing the truth about the crash made that even more obvious.
Shrugging one shoulder, and lifting a box, he spoke. "She's just..." He paused and Sharon could seem him trying to find a word to describe their relationship, wanting her to get it. "She's different." Was what he settled on. "It's just different with her."
Sharon smiled. "Good different obviously."
He let out a cheeky grin and lifting the box up to leave, he turned. "Obviously."
