Heero's cobalt eyes snapped open almost mechanically, a mere second
before the alarm clock went off, signaling his six o'clock wake up call.
He sighed softly, snuggling into the warm chest above him, breathing in
the scent of his one true love. He kissed Duo's neck slowly, raising
himself out of bed and walking lazily toward the window. It was a huge
window, glass doors in the middle opening up to a massive balcony. Heero
smiled a little, Quatre may be kind of elaborate at times, but he did
have taste.
They had been staying at his mansion; house, small castle,
whatever it was, for about four months. Oz had yet to do anything out
of the ordinary, and though the five pilots were suspicious, they enjoyed
the time off.
Heero jumped as he felt a pair of strong arms wrap around his waist.
"You looked so beautiful standing up here, I couldn't control myself."
Duo's gentle voice swept through the room, giving Heero more peace than
he ever thought possible. He leaned into Duo's embrace, reveling in the
warmth.
"I didn't want to wake you." He whispered softly. The taller boy
captured Heero's lips in a small kiss, tightening his grip around the
wing pilot's thin frame.
"I love you Heero…"
"I love you…Duo." It had taken a long, long time for Heero to admit that
he had those feelings, let alone say the words to Duo; and every time he
said them he meant them with his whole heart.
Duo smiled as Heero whispered the reply, kissing the Japanese
boy's temple lightly. He cherished these moments, when Heero let go of
his inner soldier, and was himself. Only Duo had seen Heero like this,
knew who he really was, and he loved him all the more.
They both sighed, irritated, when they heard the inevitable beep
of Heero's lap top.
"Please love, let it go…" Duo's voice was pleading.
"Sorry." Heero was already back to his normal self, Duo smirked, gave
him one last kiss, and headed toward the shower.
Heero closed his eyes as he heard the door shut. Why wouldn't the war
just end? And god…what would happen if Duo found out what he did…? He
wouldn't love him anymore! Only Quatre knew, and though he was glad he
wasn't holding it inside, but he prayed to god he would never have to
tell Duo. It would hurt his braided lover too much.
He walked over to the computer tiredly, and sat down in the seat, reading
the newest e-mail from Dr. J.
A mission, the first one in four months. What was Oz up to?
Duo walked out of the shower in a towel, looking over Heero's shoulder.
"We have a mission. Oz is back."
