The Night of Shooting Stars
"Come on, Severus, I don't want to miss it!" Hermione was dragging her favourite colleague out of his office.
"Hermione, please," the Potions Master replied calmly, although he couldn't oppress a chuckle. "We have the whole night."
"But still." She took his hand and went with him to the top of the Astronomy Tower. When they stepped outside she sighed in astonishment and even he was amazed by the sight. Tonight was the big meteor shower so there was one shooting star after another to be seen.
"It's beautiful," Hermione said and went to the edge of the tower.
"It sure is," Severus admitted and went to stand beside her.
For a while they both just looked into the dark sky. Then Hermione leaned against Severus and he put his arm around her.
"One of my wishes just came true," she said smiling.
"Really?" he asked surprised.
"Yes," she nodded, beaming.
"Why?" he asked.
She looked deep into his eyes, answered: "Because I like you" and gave him a kiss on the cheek.
"And now one of my wishes came true."
"Great," she grinned. "Do you think we have a wish in common?"
"Maybe," he replied shyly.
"Shall we try finding out?"
He just shrugged while blushing.
Hermione tried to be bold once in her life and stroked over his cheek; both their hearts were pounding very loud at that point.
He at first took one of her wisps of hair and put it behind her ear before giving her a tender kiss on the forehead.
"I suppose there's only one wish left now, don't you think?" she asked, grinning, failing to sound innocent.
"Only one?" he smirked. "I have a lot more wishes to fulfill."
"So it shall be," she replied before kissing him firmly and being happy about him kissing her intimately back.
THE END.
