Eric had picked Calleigh up from work and they went over to his place. He was going to have to give her a ride to work the next day since they had to leave her car at work. They stayed up late watching a movie on the couch until they both fell asleep. Eric woke up a couple hours later with Calleigh sleeping on top of him. He gently picked her up and carried her to bed were they both went to sleep yet again. Since they feel asleep on the couch, Calleigh forgot to set her alarm for the next day to be at work on time.
Present Time
Calleigh woke up to the sunlight streaming though the crack in the curtains. It took her a minute to realize where she was and what was happening. Then she remembered that Eric had picked her up from work. Work. Oh my god! She abruptly lifted her head off of Eric's chest.
"Eric." She said has she shook his shoulder. "Eric."
His eyes slowly began to open. He could tell something was wrong by the look on her face.
"What's wrong?" He asked her.
"What time is it?" She asked hurriedly.
Eric grabbed his phone off the night stand. The glowing letters on the screen read 10:18. Finally it hit him what was wrong.
"Oh my god, you're late for work." He too began to worry. "Its 10:18."
She jumped out of bed, only wearing her underwear and shirt she wore at work. She grabbed her pants and suit jacket off of the couch in Eric's room and threw them on.
Eric was also already out of bed and was throwing on clothes so he could drive her to work.
They jumped into his car and he started driving to Miami Dade PD.
"Calleigh I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you late for work." Eric said while driving; only taking a quick glance over to her.
"Eric, it's not your fault. We both fell asleep." She told him.
"Do you think Horatio will be mad?" Eric asked her.
"I don't know, maybe." She said.
They pulled up to MDPD and Eric parked right in the front. Calleigh opened her door and was about to get out when she turned back around and gave him a quick kiss.
"I love you." She whispered on her lips.
"I love you too." He said back.
Then she got out of the car and hurried up the walk to the doors, where she ran into Horatio. That's when she realized he had just seen all of what had just happened.
Eric had already pulled away when he realized that Calleigh's purse was on the floor of the front seat.
"Shit." He murmured to himself and he spun a U-turn.
He pulled back up to MDPD and saw Calleigh and Horatio standing by each other. Neither were talking. Then Calleigh glanced over and noticed Eric was back.
Eric got out of the car and walked up the walkway, Calleigh's purse in hand. He knew they were busted.
"Mr. Delko, nice bag." Horatio said as Eric approached them.
"Thank you." Eric said in reply. Then he handed Calleigh her purse.
"Thank you." She muttered.
"Horatio let me explain." Calleigh began.
"No need dear. I already know about you too. I've known for a long time, I've just wait until you too were ready to tell me." He said.
"How did you know?" Calleigh asked.
"I'm a CSI and the lab walls are made of glass." He said simply.
"Oh." Eric said.
"Don't worry. Rick's gone know, and I've made sure that rule is gone know. Calleigh, don't worry about work today. Have the day off." Horatio said.
"Are you sure you don't need me? I work, I don't mind." Calleigh said.
Horatio gave Eric a look and raised one eye brow. Eric caught on and grabbed Calleigh's hand.
"Come on babe. Let's go. You can work tomorrow." Eric said.
Horatio smiled at the way Eric called Calleigh 'babe' and then said, "Good bye Miss Duquesne. See you tomorrow."
"Alright," Calleigh said in a tone of defeat. "I'll see you tomorrow Horatio. Thank you."
With that Calleigh and Eric walked back down the walkway with Eric's hand on the small of Calleigh's back.
They got back home, and went back in bed and soon sleep took over then yet again.
