Rock of Zero

Louise gazed up at the Mad King on Stage, gulping nervously upon seeing the eight-stringed Ebony and Cobalt axe in his hand, connected to a set of bulky speakers behind him. Standing beside him on was Sheffield on the keyboard. They made her feel like an ant with her cheap, six-stringed, humbucker pick-up, pink and white stratocaster hanging by her shoulder. Still, she persisted and cranked her amp and guitar up to eleven.

"Valliere! Even though I lack your power, I more than pick it up for in speed! Behold! My one-finger tapping solo!" King Joseph began to play his guitar at blinding speeds, hitting each note just perfectly while Sheffield contemplated his playing with deep, heavy chords from her keyboards.

The Pinkette quickly began playing as well, making up for her lack of speed with constants bends, vibratos and use of her whammy bar. However, the King's and Myoznitnirn's speed only seemed to increase to what seemed to be beyond human speeds. She dropped to her knees in despair; how was she supposed to beat them? However, when all hope she seemed lost, she heard the strumming of a Bass behind her, steadily growing into a funky bassline being accommodated by drums and a piano. She looked back to see her her band: The Undying Night. Kirche on Bass, Saito on drums, and Tabitha on piano, all playing a funky melody that was missing just one piece.

Feeling the surge of rhythm, Louise stood up and with all her heart, passion and determination, struck her stratocaster and began playing. Feeling the souls of past, present and future screaming and cheering them on them.

Joseph and Sheffield began sweating. How could such brats possess such musical power? Soon, notes started being struck out of tuned or missed entirely. Finally, the funky power of the Undying Night became too great for them and they both exploded into nothingness.

The four all struck a pose as they hit the final note

AU in which instead of wands, Magic is instead done through musical instruments and the Void is replaced by the long lost instrument: the Electric Guitar.
