Lucas awoke from his bed, exited about his first day as a trainer. He got dressed and ran outside. It was a hot and extremely sunny day but nonetheless he had to travel to Sandgem Town today. He grabbed his red bike and pedaled away. Route 201 was very peaceful on the way to Sandgem and he took it as a good sign that today would be a good day. After a few minutes he finaly entered the small town, spooking a small flock of starly that were on the road. He rode past the beach, taking in the ocean breeze as he made his way to Professor Rowan's lab. He reached the large laboratory and parked his bike near the entrance. He wiped the sweat off his forehead as he made his way inside the Lab. He was surprised to find both Tyson and Yvonne urgently disusing something with Prof. Rowan. The Prof. walked over to Lucas and carefully studied him. "Oh, you're the boy who used my Pokemon back at the lake."

"Um, well…" Lucas froze up, thinking Professor Rowan would get angry at him. "T-Tyson and I were attacked and it was the only way to defend ourselves."

"Hmm, the Pokemon you used was my Chimchar, correct?" Lucas nodded and handed him the Pokeball. He attached the Pokeball onto a strange machine and a few lights started flashing on and off. "Incredible! This Chimchar is so attached to you it seems like you've been partners for years! You must be an extraordinary trainer and I feel confident you and Chimchar will make it to the Sinnoh Pokemon League."

"What are you saying?!" Lucas said while trying to hide the excitement on his face.

"Lucas, its time for you to begin your journey!" Lucas looks over at Tyson and sees him grinning.

"My Turtwig and I are goin' on our journey as well and we're going to wipe the floor with you!" The Prof. goes over to Yvonne and hands her his last Pokeball.

"Yvonne, I want you to take this Piplup and go along with them. Im counting on you to be the best field researcher I've hired, understand?" She smiles.

"Thank you, professor."

"Ok," Prof. Rowan said, calming the children down, "listen up children!" He gets out three small computer looking devices and hands them to the new trainers. "These are Pokedexes. They were invented by a good buddy of mine and have information on every Pokemon known to man." He then takes out a case of empty pokeballs and gives them five each. "With these your Pokemon family will expand. And one more thing before you take off: I wish you best of luck and I look forward to hearing great things about you." And with those final words, they were off. They walked to the entrance of route 202 and stood there, knowing the challenges that would lie ahead of them were not going to be easy. Tyson shrunk back, afraid of leaving his home and everyone he knew.

"I-im going home to pick up some things," he told the Lucas and Yvonne, "You two go on ahead. I'll catch up later."

"Don't be to long." Fidel said in an encouraging tone. "And don't worry; I know everything is going to be fine!" Fidel and Yvonne continue moving forward and Tyson waved goodbye. Soon he would walk down the same path and begin his adventures…
