I've had this idea running around for a few days. Not sure if it's IC or even any good, but read and hopefully enjoy!

Jealousy
Hinata watches. Whenever her team is given the day off, she watches. She's careful about it, though, always making sure he doesn't notice her. But she's not sure it matters. After all, it's Uzumaki Naruto she's looking at.
Hinata doesn't care much for what other people think of him. To her, he's nice and trusting, if a little loud and oblivious at times.
But she does care when she sees him pestering his precious Sakura-chan for a date. She does care for the response she gives him, too. Sometimes, Hinata wishes she was Sakura, so that Naruto would ask her to go on a date with him.
Sometimes, Hinata doesn't like Sakura. Sakura doesn't see that Sasuke will never like her back, she doesn't realise that there's other people out there who like her. Hinata wishes she could tell Sakura this sometimes. Wishes she would open her eyes and see life outside her delusional Sasuke-centered fantasies.
But Hinata isn't as confident as Sakura, she can't ask out the boy she likes. All she can do is watch Naruto be turned down by Sakura, again and again.
All she can do is watch.
