Preface
I was running. Running through the forest, from what I don't know but I was. It was quiet. All that could be heard was the sounds of leaves crackling under my sneakers. I allowed myself to look back for a brief moment and froze. This was why I was running.
Not thirty feet away stood Victoria. She flashed me her ultra-white teeth with a grin. Her red eyes were filled of excitement from the hunt. I turned back around and ran harder. My breathing became labored and my muscles burned, but I knew I couldn't stop running. I looked back to see why Victoria hadn't got me yet. She was running at human pace, playing with her meal, toying with me just to get a kick out of my emotions.
Think Bella think! Where to go where to go?! Then I had it I knew where to go. The Meadow, Our Meadow.
I quickly changed direction. Hopefully I would find it before Victoria got bored and decided to kill me. Since I was running so fast it took me about ten minutes before I reached the meadow. I ducked through all the trees and stepped into the meadow. I stopped breathing. He was there.
He stood in the middle of the meadow looking as god like as ever. He was staring at the sky, then his head snapped down to look at me when he noticed he wasn't alone. His face was completely blank.
I stood there, still for a moment and then walked over to him.
"Edward," I breathed cautiously.
His face remained blank and he hadn't moved.
"Please don't leave again" I pleaded.
His head cocked to the right as if noticing me for the first time.
"I don't have a choice" he replied and then he was gone.
I stood there in shock. He did have a choice and he chose not to love me.
I turned around in time to see Victoria enter the meadow. She was smiling and seemed to be finding something amusing.
"I would have interrupted your little confrontation a long time ago, but seeing you get your heart broken was just to amusing to miss," she smiled with a hint of laughter in her voice.
"Why didn't Edward smell your scent if you were so close?" I asked, my voice shaking.
"Ah, it seems you werewolf friends were here not to long ago. This place stinks so bad that he couldn't even smell me if he tried to. Now I think we've done enough talking," she growled as she slid down into a crouch.
I turned and started to run but tripped on branch and fell right on my face. I turned over in time to see Victoria launch herself at me; and that's when the dream ended
