Hey guys! This is something I wrote at school. The teacher showed us a picture and we had to write a story (before-during-after) based on it. It had to be really short, as if for small kids. I wrote this! (: I know it's like the Wizards episode 'Halloween'; that's 'cause I had watched it the day before and couldn't think of anything else. Heheh :P I know it's veryyyy short but, as I said before, it's destined for little kids (5 year olds maybe). If you have a little sibling who likes Wizards and is learning to read, you should show them this :D Hope you like it!
A scary surprise

The Russo's were a family who ran a sandwich shop. Every Halloween, the fast-food restaurants would compete to see who could build the scariest Haunted House, and the Russo's always lost.
Alex Russo, the middle daughter, had a great plan. This year she would bring real ghosts! In order to do it, she went to a castle that was said to be haunted. "I'm not scared," Alex encouraged herself, and stepped inside. The place was full of dust and spider webs. The decorations were also quite old; things she had only seen in history books and old movies. She almost tripped on a strange box that had been placed right in the middle of a big, red carpet. She opened it, and was surprised to find a little ghost who was sound asleep. Alex had a slight feeling of awe; that is, of course, until it woke up and made a scary face at her, making her scream. The ghost was frightened by her scream and started whining. Alex stopped making noises and felt sorry for the ghost, so she calmed it down. She thought of bringing it home for the Haunted House. The ghost, already calm, agreed and they returned home.
Back in New York, the Russo family wasn't having much luck. All the squirrels in town had eaten up their acorn decorations. The judge had given them a very low score. They were about to quit, when Alex arrived. Alex released the ghost and it scared everyone. Unluckily, they didn't win; the judge said it was too scary for anybody's good. In the end, they were banned from the competition. When the judge left, the whole family glared at Alex. Not only had they not won, but they couldn't compete for another three years! "Oh, well," said Alex, "at least we had fun."
