The news had come out during Thunder Strike's Coup.
His companion Black Blur was flying straight through.
And Twilight knew she had to stop Thunder's men
So she called on Rainbow to do it again.
Twas Hearth's Warming Eve, and 40 below
When Rainbow went up in search of her foe.
She spied on old Black Blur, and fiercely they fought.
But when ice froze her wings, Rainbow knew she was caught.
Warming bells, Hearth's Warming bells,
Ring out from the earth.
Asking peace of all creatures,
And warming every hearth.
Old Black Blur had Rainbow dead in his sights.
He readied to charge, and finish the fight.
Why he didn't bash her, well, we'll never know.
Maybe it was the bells from the village below.

Old Blackie made Rainbow fly through frost-bitten air,
And forced her to land inside of Thunder Strike's lair.
Rainbow thought she was doomed, so she cowered in fear,
Until Blackie cried out, "Happy Hearth's Warming, my dear!"
Old Blackie then offered a holiday toast.
And Rainbow, our hero, why, she hoof-bumped her host.
And then in a flash, they were both on their way.
Each knowing they'd meet on some other day.

Author's Comments: So in case you haven't figured out, Black Blur is my OC villain, as is Thunder Strike.
I just love this song so much, and this little idea popped into my head while listening to it earlier. Thought I'd write it up as a little christmas special.
