Catch Me If You Can
You were the cat,
And I was the mouse.
I remember you chasing me.
Chasing me every day,
Every day, you waited.
You waited for me, to step out of my house.
My house of security, where you could not reach me.
When I thought it was safe to come out,
There you were.
I ducked and I ran to the place I was headed.
When the chasing began I screamed out of fear, but after a week it became just a game.
You tried to catch me
But the more you chased
The more I hid.
I could stay hiding for hours, whilst your patience was wearing thin.
Somehow you managed to catch me in the end.
And in the end you were strong and I turned out weak.
You were the cat.
And I was the mouse.
