So, thanks for deciding to read my story! It may be a little slow at first, but updates will definitely come quickly. I don't know how long it will be because I'm involved in shows and school. But anyway. Thanks guys (and gals!) Reviews are appreciated, but not required.
Enjoy!
Chapter 1: Love At First Sight Annabeth's POV
School.
School involves waking up.
Waking up is probably one of my lease favorite parts of the day.
For all those creepy vampires who don't have to sleep and therefore don't have to wake up, I envy you.
Why? Well, I'm waken up by the sound of my drunk dad hitting my older brother, Malcolm. If you had to wake up to that every day, would you like it? I didn't think so. But anyway. Yay. Awake.
I dragged myself out of bed. Literally dragged. I quickly showered and threw my blow-dried hair into a French braid. I got dressed in the cutest outfit I own. A black and gray striped sweater, black leggings, and black Uggs. I guess if Crystal (the school's bitch) had anything to make fun of today, it could at least be cute to me.
My best friend, Thalia Grace, picked me up in her red Mercedes to drive us to school.
I walked into school, doing my best to stay hidden, when I saw him.
He was probably the most gorgeous guy I have ever seen in my entire life. Black hair, effortlessly beautiful. Startling green eyes that seemed to glimmer like emeralds. And, oh my gods, that smile. The only drawback? He was being crushed to bits by the football team. I'm talking full-on fist fight.
I ran up to them and slapped Brandon across the face. Hard.
"What the hell was that?! You gonna fight me, Chase? Huh?" He punched me in the jaw, lifted me up, and threw me into the lockers. Once again, hard. The mysterious boy I was trying to defend took the chance to tackle Brandon and anyone else, although I could hardly see anything but stars. When all the guys were temporarily too injured to fight, the boy grabbed my arm and dragged me down a random hall and into a locker room.
"Are you alright? You didn't have to do that..." He looked guilty, like it was his fault that they did that.
"I'm fine. And yeah I did. They were seriously hurting you. Plus, if I didn't do it then, they would've hurt me anyway. It's kinda a daily thing."
"Well...thank you anyway...what was your name?"
I was grinning by now. This guy was seriously hot. "Last time I checked, it was Annabeth Chase. And you are"
He was smiling, too. "Well, I thought it was Percy Jackson, but now I think those guys would prefer fish eyes."
"Percy Jackson...I feel like we've met before. Or like I already know you."
He looked momentarily scared, terrified really, and then his easy smile was back, though it looked a little forced. "I think I would remember meeting someone so beautiful.'
I blushed. But who wouldn't? "Maybe we haven't. But I have a feeling I'm going to."
