cradled there in
his mother's arms
He has her eyes
and that hair
it could only come
from her side
But that face
that face is
his father's
not mine
She slipped through
my fingers
and so did he
He should have been
mine
my son
But I made stupid mistakes
and she was too stubborn
and proud
to wait
and went to him
instead
I don't know what
happened
and I won't
ask
It's not my business

But I miss her
and wish
I could have done better
