Four Years
By Assilem
Four years to this day something happened that I'll never forget. Four years ago I said good-bye. Of course I never knew it would be forever. We went out separate ways at the end. Everyone knew we wouldn't be apart for long. And they were right. As my jeep pulled way I watched through tears as I left my best friends. I had to go but didn't want to. When I got to my new post I walked into my quarters and there he was. Wearing his cheesy cowboy hat smiling. I smiled brightly jumping into his arms. My best friend would never leave me, and I knew that now. He held me tight afraid he would never see me again. And it was then I felt someone else present. I looked up and there he was smiling with his cheesy mustache. Without a word I flew into his arms and held on. BJ smiled and held onto me. We were all afraid we would lose each other. Hawkeye smiled and joined the hug.
"I missed you two." I smiled.
"Don't worry Margaret you'll never have to miss us again." Hawkeye smiled.
"Thanks Ben." I smiled brightly. Hawkeye smiled. I was the only one allowed to call him Ben. It had been his nickname since we were little. BJ or Beej we had met when we were the war. It had been two years to that day we had been friends. And four years today we decided to never allow each other to leave.
We were one of a kind. Hawkeye was a tall dark hair man with deep blue eyes, and a smile that could make everything better. He was always smiling and trying to pull joke. They always made me laugh.
BJ was a tall dirty blonde, with a cheesy mustache. He has the same personality as Hawkeye and I have always found it amusing.
I on the other hand am a little different from my friends. I had golden blonde hair, and the only female in our group
It has always amazed me how close we are. Hawkeye and BJ were the doctors of the group, and I was a nurse. We're all in the army, I joined the other two were drafted. That way we can be together no matter what happens.
But it was four years ago to this day that I was transferred, four years ago.
So many things happened four years ago. I found the two people who would never leave, and found out, that even though I'm here in Heaven, they would never forget.
Four years ago I died, but never forgot my best friends. Four years later Hawkeye married and BJ had a child. I would be an aunt if it wasn't for four years ago.
