It was a simple tombstone, the color red with an angel on top. The doctor had gone through eleven regenerations, had been alive for 908 years, had battled with gods and demons, but today he felt a sadness, a sadness that he last fell when Gallifrey was destroyed when he lost his whole family. Rory and Amy stood in the background watching the doctor with sad eyes, tears welled up in the Scottish woman's hazel eyes.
"Hello Sarah Jane." he whispered staring at the grave. Sarah Jane had been killed in a car accident, she had fought with him through many years, had seen things some humans could never understand but she was taken from this world so suddenly.

Tears rolled down his cheeks as he remembered all the times Sarah Jane had saved his life. "Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith, thank you for walking in eternity with me." he whispered. He turned around and walked back to the TARDIS. Tears poured out as he inserted the key into the lock walking back into his life.
