Sakura groaned after clicking the mouse for what seemed like the fiftieth time that hour.
A day ago her best friend Ino had suggested to try online dating since the pinkette was trying to get over her ex boyfriend - Sasuke Uchiha - and it wasn't going so well.
Sakura met Sasuke at a park two years ago during her senior year of high school. She was crying on a concrete bench due to being bullied about her large forehead and about other hardships that were going on in her life, until Sasuke showed up and started to comfort her. They didn't go to the same high school, but the two did fall in love.
Sasuke lived forty minutes away from Sakura, so it was a long distance relationship. They exchanged numbers while texting occasionally and whenever the two met up in person they got along great, but...
There were times where Sasuke wouldn't text Sakura back for days, weeks, or months, and she would be worrying her head off. It hurt Sakura even more when Sasuke wouldn't even say sorry or give a reason as to why he hasn't responded back to her in so long whenever he had finally replied back to her, and he would just ask her to hang out.
Every time Sakura tried to confront Sasuke about his abnormal behavior in person, she kept her mouth shut because she feared that she would lose him and because the pinkette didn't want to ruin the happiness that they shared with one another whenever they saw each other.
She knew that her relationship with him wasn't healthy - she never knew when he was going to talk to her next.
Countless of Sakura's friends, especially Ino, had told the pink haired beauty to leave him, but she never listened.
One night, after much crying, Sakura called Sasuke and fiercely confessed her love to him, and demanded why he never told her anything. When she was finished with speaking, Sasuke told her that she was annoying and then hung up the phone.
He never spoke to her again.
Even now, two years later, Sakura's heart still cries for him, but she knows that loving him is pointless... which is why she's trying to move on.
. . .
Sakura sadly stared at her computer screen, starting to feel hopeless.
She had made an account on an online dating site that Ino had suggested called "OkHeart" and none of the guys on there interested her.
Sakura ran her fingers through her short pink while sighing before clicking on the "next" button and another random profile popped up as usual. Her glossy jade eyes widened when she saw the name of the next guy...
Waffles.
She raised an eyebrow while staring at the screen in disbelief and felt a little disturbed.
Okay - she had a fake name on the website too, which was Rose, but to have your fake name as Waffles?
How is he suppose to possibly get girls with that name?
Sakura then started to look at Waffle's pictures.
She hated to admit it, but he was beyond handsome. He had straight short red hair with bangs covering his forehead and beautiful auburn eyes. His skin was so flawlessly pale, he was tall, lean, and somewhat muscular, and he had the most charming smile.
He wore a combination of red and black in most of his pictures, and what intrigued Sakura the most was how many wooden puppets were in the background of each photo. It kind of creeped her out though.
Feeling like she had nothing to lose, Sakura shrugged and sent him a message out of pure boredom.
Why is your name Waffles?
Sakura then clicked the "next" button and proceeded on with looking at other guy's profiles.
She didn't expect this Waffles guy to reply to her nor did she care, she only messaged him because she was bored.
Besides, she had a feeling that he was fake anyway.
No guy that attractive would be on a dating website, those pictures are probably from a famous Internet model or something... Sakura thought feeling indifferent.
Not even a few minutes later, Waffles had replied back to her.
You have to earn my trust first. ;)
Sakura rolled her eyes and typed back her sarcastic reply.
Oh great.
The pinkette sighed and then saw from the corner of her eye a batman figurine on her dresser. She smirked and suddenly felt like messing with this random stranger.
Well, I don't like your name Waffles.
Waffles was now very intrigued.
What do you want it to be then?
Hmm, I've never had a Robin before... I think I'll call you Robin. ;D
Interesting... Why that name in particular?
Sakura couldn't hold back her laughter any longer as she typed back to him.
Cuz' I'm Batman!
...Oh snap...
So, do we have a deal... Robin? ;D
Okay, 'Batman' but only on one condition...
What is it?
Just don't call me boy wonder or else I'll feel fruity. ;)
Sakura laughed so hard that she almost fell backwards on her black spinning chair, she certainly was NOT excepting him to say that, but she knew for a fact that this Waffles guy was entertaining to some degree.
It's a deal then, Robin. :P
