Clare had so many feelings and thoughts going through her mind at that moment, this wasn't supposed to be like this at all. it was supposed to be an amazing night nothing was supposed to ruin it, she had these amazing feelings for Eli she was having more and more of a hard time controlling. Everytime she saw him she wanted to run up and kiss him, or hold him in her arms, she wanted so bad for him to know he was everything she wanted it just wasn't that easy. She had known that the tension between Eli and Fitz was serious she just didn't know how it had come to this point and she'd never once realized it. Here was Fitz walking towards both her and Eli with a knife. She softly told him not to do this, she tried to get him to think about it. He just wasn't having it, she felt Eli push her away from him why though? She couldn't just watch this boy stab the only good thing in her hectic life. She just couldn't she watched him push him once than again and finally so Eli was backed against the door she saw his face it looked plain scared, she saw tears welling up slowly in his beautiful green eyes. Tears had already been in her eyes for the past two minutes. Time felt like it was going in slow motion, She saw Fitz pull the knife back and she saw him push it further into Eli's lower left side of his stomach, she saw him stare wide into Fitz's eyes than slowly fall to the floor. By this time she had already ran to his side, she saw Fitz drop the knife and run down the hall. She couldn't see through the tears that were blurring her vision,
"Eli.. Oh my god we need to get help, I'll be right back" She got up to walk away but he grasped her hand and pulled her back.
"Cla..re.. don't go... Please" He had never looked so scared
"I always loved you...Clare.. You have brought me an amazing feeling..I haven't felt in a long time" She was holding his hand so tight, she felt if she let her grip loosen even a little he'd fade away.
"Eli, I love you too..I'm sorry we can go through this together I know you're scared.. I do. and I want to be with you, where ever you go after this life. I want to be with you and find you" She grabbed the knife from the floor and she held his hand as she plunged the knife into her own stomach. She felt this immense amount of pain, undeniable pain she fell into Eli's chest as her body began to go numb. He strained to put his arm around her and entertwine his fingers in hers. He knew she was already gone, so he whispered one final thing to her, with tears coming down his eyes.
"I really wish I could go where you were going..."
With that he finally let the desire for sleep to succomb him and he closed his eyes.
