Disclaimer – I do not own +Anima or any of its (FREAKIN' AWESOME) characters.
Nana and I had always been best friends, so we knew a lot about each other. The day we became +Anima changed us a lot. We were a lot closer than before, and we were planning on staying like that. Our efforts were nearly destroyed countless times, but either way, we still managed to pull through.
My name is Cooro. I'm a crow +Anima. Nana is a bat +Anima, and so, we travel together since our families threw us out. It's kind of ironic—when you think about it, one little change—one change in a person can cause them to be shunned by all forms of society and civilization. Oh, yeah. I'm deep (pfft).
"Come on, Cooro, we need to get to the next town within a week! It's almost winter, and it'd be bad if we were stuck in a blizzard," Nana grabbed my hand, and pulled me until I kept up with her pace.
"I hope we get there in time. Remember when we met Franny? That was nice," I said to Nana, flashing back to the almost-blind girl.
Nana smiled. "You know you have a crush on her!" she teased.
I blushed. "N-no! Look how young she is! I-I just think she's nice! Don't twist my words around!"
Nana giggled. "You're such a baby, Cooro," she nudged me playfully, and I chuckled slightly.
"Since I'm a baby, that makes my cute, right?" I asked slyly.
Nana giggled. "Uh-huh."
"Nana, look, I found apples!" in my arms, I was holding about ten apples.
"Whoa, good job! We can start traveling again, now," she said.
I nodded. "Sure, now c'mon, we need to get there! I really don't wanna freeze to death," I replied, and we began to walk again, but then I stopped. "Wait—can't we just fly over there?"
Nana slapped her forehead. "Why didn't I think of that?" she asked as she and I popped our wings out of our backs.
I chuckled, and we both lifted off the ground and soared towards Sailand.
We had traveled for about an hour, and we'd finally reached Sailand. Walking in was kind of agitating because people kept saying things like, "Look at that adorable boy/girl!," and it annoyed the heck out of Nana and I.
We kept walking, enduring the comments they made on us.
Author's point of view, with Husky and Senri…
"Aw, look how cute those two are!" Senri and Husky turned to see a crowd around two kids about Husky's age.
They looked like they were about to punch someone. He held his urge to laugh, and ushered Senri to follow him. He pushed into the crowd, and the boy with the messy black hair eyed him. Not in a rude or intimidating way, but in a curious gesture.
Husky cocked his head, and felt himself squirming when Nana joined in the staring.
Yeah, uh-huh, yup. Cooro knows Senri and Husky are +Anima, so Nana, understanding Cooro's expression, realizes what he's thinking.
I've never seen a fiction where Nana and Cooro are best friends, so, of course, I got the urge to write one…some of my OCs will be introduced in the later chapters. Um…yeah. If you want to see what she looks like, I'll post a link in the next chapter. Also, here's their summary/description.
