Luka sat up in his bed. He sighed, and got out of the hospital bed. He hated falling asleep on the job, but no one was here, which was very surprising for the ER. Everyone was sitting at the front. Luka was very upset because Gillian had left him and gone back to the Congo. She belonged there. He belonged here. When would he find someone he really loved?
Just then, a girl, about 24 maybe, walked, no stumbled, into the ER and said, sounding like a gasp, "Hi. Im Aimee Anderson. Im supposed to be working here, but right now, I think I need you all more than you need me."
Luka stood up, along with Abby. Aimee fainted, but Luka grabbed her quickly, before she could fall to the ground. He picked her up with ease and rushed her into a room and onto a gourney. He immediately checked her pulse and saw she had only fainted from stress, but seemed to have some injury on her side. He cut the shirt on her right side, to reveal a shot wound. He got a set a tweesers that were a little bigger than usual that u usually see in a hospital, and pulled a bullet out of her side, and blood immediately rushed out. Abby, was still bagging her, and could be no help right now.
"Dammit. Where's Carter when you need him!" Luka screamed in frustration.
Abby looked up in shock, and forgot about bagging. Aimee's pulse immediately dropped.
Luka looked up so fast his neck cracked. "Abby! Keep bagging!"
Abby did as she was told, her mind still on John though. Why did everything seem to go wrong here?
After about 15 minutes of trying to see if there were any more bullets in Aimee, Luka determind they're weren't, but he would get an X-ray for her, and wait for her to wake up.

Luka only had to wait a couple hours.Aimee woke up, just as he was about to wake her himself. She looked up at him, startled. She started to sit up, but Luka put a hand on her shoulder and gently pushed her back. She looked up at him, confused.
"Hi, Aimee. I'm Luka Kovac. One of the docters here. " He smiled down at her. His smile took her breathe away. He could tell.
His hand went to her right side, and she jumped as his cold hands touched her side.
"Sorry…" he mumbled. He gently pulled the bandage off, and felt her eyes on him, studying him maybe…maybe just watching like a resident was supposed to do. Her wound was already healing nicely. He smiled, and put a fresh one on. She flinched.
"You should stay in bed for a couple days or so. You'll be better soon. Ill check up on you, every chance I get. Don't want a pretty resident leaving after her first day, now do we?" Luka said, walking out.
