A/N: This is the first story I have published so please be nice with your comments but constructive criticism is, of course, always welcome. I apologise for the fact that I will probably be slow at updating but we are all busy people me included so I will try to update as often as I can (reviews will help *attempts to bribe and fails*) and I hope you will bear with me. This is unbetaed but if anyone is willing to be my beta for this story then it would be appreciated. Oh and I am sorry it is so short.

Prologue

"Everyone thinks that I have it all

But it's so empty living behind these castle walls

These castle walls

If I should tumble if I should fall

Would anyone hear me screaming behind these castle walls?

There's no one here at all

The song rang through the empty rooms, the piano echoing, the only company to the lone voice that's sang. The boy at the piano was dressed in expensive, blue silk robes, his forehead bore blue headband which pushed his silver hair out of his face forcing it to defy gravity and stick up at odd angles. The door to his back creaked, he to look round revealing a pale face masked with blue cotton and the headband across his forehead. A young tanned boy stood in the doorway looking at the other. He giggled

"It's pretty." The boy said smiling tentatively. The sliver haired child frowned.

"Who are you? Where is your daini?" he asked sliding off the piano stool, the boy grinned at that, mischievous and carefree.

"I ran off. My parents are working so I wanted to play, not work too." The silver haired boy mover closer his frown more pronounced.

"Your parents work here? Why don't yo…"

"IRUKA UMINO" A voice shouted making the tanned boy flinch and stiffen. He turned slowly on the spot only to come face to face with a strict dark haired woman rapidly making her way towards them. "What do you think you are doing here?" she continued to shout. "You are supposed to be studying not running around the palace. I told you, I told you, you're not allowed in this part of the palace. Now you get back to your teacher and your daini and if I hear of you running off again you will be in big trouble young man." She shook her head and looked away as the boy wined back.

"I don't wanna learn with that teacher I wanna learn with you, you're fun, I wanna do music with you." She looked back at the boy and seemed only then to notice the silver haired youth stood watching the exchange.

"Oh jeez." she muttered under her breath, bowing low "My apologies for the interruption my lord, your lesson will begin imminently."

"What's immimwly mean mummy? And why did you bow and call him lord?" Iruka asked jerking his thumb over his shoulder and the silver haired child.

"He can stay if he would like." The child said, before she had a chance to reply to her son. The woman smiled gently at him, but shook her head.

"That is very kind my lord, but my son must return to his own studies, as must we." The boy nodded, turning back to piano and making his way over to it he began the song again, neglecting to sing this time.

"Go on sweetie." The woman said guiding her son out the door and giving him a gentle push. He nodded, walking off back to their part of the palace, he turned to watch the silver haired child disappear behind closed doors as the music echoed on.
