Here's my second poem ever posted. This one was for my English class (and I got an A on it too! ;(). It's a sonnet in Shakespearean form (the ABAB CDCD EFEF GG one). The point of view is really open to your own interpretation, although it should be obvious ho it's about... enjoy and review!
Unrequited Love
The ice blue eyes could set any heart on fire.
Flaxen hair shone like gold in the sunshine.
He fulfilled what every dreamers desire,
And there was no way he could be mine.
Past events brought forth his cold exterior,
The pain from it all locked deeply away.
Detachment staying in his demeanor,
But still, my feelings would not go astray.
The fear of forever living alone,
Without the comfort, care, or love from him
Now I know why I have become a drone
Happy outside, an inside very grim.
I dream of the day his heart I have won,
And forever we'd live in unison.
