Ino Yamanaka always loved Shikamaru Nara. She like his personality, his laziness, and basically him. How could she tell him her feelings? One day, Ino decided to her teammate that it was time to reveal her secret. How would he react to her? Only one way to find out!
'' Hey, Shikamaru!'' she called... '' I wanted to tell you that...I..'' But before she could say anything, she spotted him kissing Temari.. Ino was startled... She tripped over a rock when she was running away... Shikamaru saw a small glimpse at a girl running... In his mind, he wondered if that girl was Ino running away from him, because he was in love with Temari..
He told Temari to wait for him as he looked for Ino. He couldn't find her anywhere. Then he saw Ino walking towards her house.. Shikamaru called her name and she turned around..Ino smiled at him sadly, with tears in her eyes.
'' Shikamaru, it's best that we're friends,'' she said disappointedly.'' I just wanted to tell youthat I love you.. You and Temari are perfect for each other... I got to go now..''She went inside her house, knowing that she could had said more to him, but she decided not to.
Shikamaru just stood there in front of Ino's door. Ino called Sakura on the phone. Shikamaru started to knock on her door'' What's up, Ino?'' Sakura asked.'' You sound sad...'' '' Sakura...hold up for a minute!'' Ino said.'' Someone is knocking at the door!''
She dashed for the door...It was Shikamaru...'' Please, go back to Temari.. I told you what I needed to tell you. ''Ino said as she began to close the door. ''Ino, I..I'm sorry...'' Shikamaru explained.'' I didn't mean to...'' '' Listen , Shikamaru! No need to worry, don't need to be sorry... I will be just fine! Please, leave! '' Ino said quickly. .'' We could talk later, you know? Your girlfriend is waiting for you...''
She shut the door. Shikamaru didn't move from the door...'' Sakura, let's talk later! I need to sleep! Bye!" Ino said in a hurry. ''Ino, wait-'' Sakura started to say...
Ino hung up the phone. She peeped through her window and saw Shikamaru still outside... "What does he want?" she wondered to herself..
Ino ran downstairs and opened the door... Shikamaru softly, kissed Ino. '' I just wanted to say thank you, Ino,'' he said softly.'' I'm in love with Temari..We can only be friends and teammates...nothing more...I love you as a friend..''
Ino cried and said,'' You...are.. a great, intelligent..guy.. I was too late to tell you...
how I really felt about you... Shikamaru Nara.. you were there when I needed you.. You were always by my side.. I know we're teammates... I wished for us to be more than teammates..but you're with Temari, so I can't change how you feel about her or me... Don't worry about me...''
She smiled at him and gave him a hug..''This is goodbye, Shikamaru..'' Ino said and went back inside her house...Shikamaru left..
Ino looked out the window...So Shikamaru is with Temari from the Sand Village.. Even though, I feel sad...my heart feels so empty... my mind seems to blank with endless thoughts about Shikamaru Nara...my body is not yet to be complete. I looked at the deep blue sky, wondering why...
