"Come, Peter," She crooned, "We can be together. Bring me back, and we can rule forever. Don't you want that, my boy? I can give you everything dream of. You'll never have to grow up; you can stay with me, as king… no useless siblings…" Her voice was so sincere...
She was resplendent as always, though her white dress was bloody tatters and she beckoned him forward with a gory shin bone.
"Come…"
Peter woke gasping, drenched in sweat. It had been years ago, but still he often had the dream. And the worst part was, sometimes, he believed her.
