It was hours after the defeat of Voldemort, and everyone was celebrating at the Three Broomsticks. Harry looked to see Ron and Hermione sitting across from him at the table. They were laughing and joking around, not bickering. They were acting like the old Ron and Hermione before the war, before Hermione kissed Ron during the war. This was, until Ron planted a kiss on her cheek. Harry had too much on his mind right now, and wasn't paying attention to their conversation.
He thought about all of the lives lost tonight, all because of him. If it weren't for him, so many more people would be alive right now. But yet again, if it weren't for him, Voldemort wouldn't be destroyed. Gone. He realized he could finally say the words that couldn't have been said ever. Voldemort is gone. He already felt a little safer. No one had to fear saying his name. No more "You-know-who". Because everyone was safe.
Harry's thought was interrupted when he noticed Ginny standing beside him.
"Harry, can I talk to you?" She asked quietly. Harry followed her to a table away from Ron and Hermione, who just waved to him when he left.
"Harry, now that Voldemort's gone, I was thinking…" Ginny said quietly, and paused. But Harry finished her thought.
"We could start a real relationship?"
Ginny couldn't take it anymore and kissed Harry passionately. When they finally broke apart, she looked deeply into his eyes.
"Harry…" When Harry didn't respond, Ginny's eyes began tearing and she started to walk away, but Harry grabbed her arm and pulled her close to him. He kissed her and then looked into her eyes.
"Ginny, I want to. I want to be with you." He pulled Ginny into his arms. "You're the one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I never want to leave you." Ginny looked up at him and smiled.
"Really?" She asked.
"Everything I just told you was the truth." Ginny kissed Harry again. They broke apart.
"Ginny Weasley, I love you." He whispered.
"I love you too, Harry." She whispered back, and he pulled her into another embrace. They then broke apart and Ginny looked back to Ron and Hermione, who were laughing hysterically.
"I guess you better return to them. The two love birds over there." She said and giggled.
Harry walked over to the table Ron and Hermione were at and sat down.
"I see you had a nice conversation with my sister." Ron said, looking fine, the last thing Harry had expected. It must have either been something to do with Hermione.
Harry smiled and took a sip of his butter beer. He decided to just clear his mind and enjoy the night.
